All Specialty Chromed Plastic products have a limited one year warranty. Our finish is warranted to be free from defects against peeling, fracturing, discoloration or clouding provided the part is used for its intended purpose.
This warranty is available only to the person to whom the plating was originally done for and is non-transferable.
No warranty shall apply when damage is caused by scratches, chipping, impact or improper installation.
See below for important care instructions. Failure to adhere to any part of these instructions will void the warranty.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CARE
There are some very important facts to know about the finish and the care you must follow to keep your parts looking shiny.
The vacuum metalized finish on your product is not chrome and will scratch as easily as a painted surface. The finish has been protected by a top layer of urethane paint with U.V. inhibitors. This top coat is just like the top layer of paint on your vehicle and will scratch or chip just like the painted surface on your car.
Please also note that your piece has been freshly painted and has been cured long enough that touching will not harm the finish. However, just like any fresh paint requires time to cure completely and will scratch if you attempt to polish or clean before the finish has had time to fully cure. We recommend that for the first thirty days you take great care when rubbing or cleaning the surface to avoid swirling marks showing up in the top coat.
Use only a soft non abrasive cloth to clean the surface. Exterior parts should be rinsed thoroughly before rubbing to remove excess dirt which will act as sandpaper against your shiny finish. Use only mild soap and water and soft cloth to dry and buff the surface. Interior parts should be sprayed with a mild streak free solution and wiped gently with a damp soft cloth. DO NOT USE any products containing silicone or ammonia such as vinyl conditioner or window cleaner as over time they will cloud the surface.
In the event your part gets scratched or scuffed please do not attempt to buff out as you will do irreparable damage to the finish. We will be happy to assist you in helping you fix the damage but please contact us first or you will make it worse and void the warranty.
